Earth is Empty
(For late Toun Oni)
Today you have left earth
You have taken steps to rest
You have silenced our laughter
The things that made us smile have been paused
Come again,
Come again, precious one
Earth is empty without you
This world is one sided without you
Come again, I plea
This grave is full
Your miracles and strength have gone down
The world of struggles comes with you too
Your dreams are heavy down there
Come again,
Come again, my symphony
Come rolled like a fine dish
Decorated with love,
Come again, I plea
These mourners won’t mourn
They won’t cry tears
They won’t walk on fire and scream not
They won’t wear black and smile not
They want you home, Toun Oni
Earth is empty without you.
